「♥」"I’ve never had that problem,“ she admitted. "I’ve always been really good at telling people apart.” Joy didn’t know what to chalk it up to. “Some of it was their height, but also because of their hair styles.” Not trying to dismiss his justification of why some people seemed convinced that they didn’t really stand out from each other, she added on before giving the wrong impression. “But I understand why some people would think so. I think that’s why they gave us different colors for our hair.” Winding some of the green around her fingers, the youngest of Red Velvet lifted the strands for scrutiny.
"I think the song choreography was challenging. I think we all got equal attention when it came to lyrics, too. I’m really happy about it, all things considered. I know some members in groups don’t get a lot of lines or screen time. So, I think it was a good thing to show off what we’re capable of.“ Joy let her hair drop and focused on his attempt at steering the conversation towards places that weren’t so tension inducing. Eyebrows perked at the mention of going out more than the ice cream.
An uncomfortable shift and nervous nibble on her lower lip signaled the wheels turning in her head as she considered his offer. She knew that the other three had done their fair share of slipping away so that no one noticed, but being the youngest, Joy felt more pressure was put on her to be the example of obedience. The company walls, though, were getting far too stifling for her liking. She couldn’t recall any recent time that involved anything but practice. “Okay,” she said after some consideration. “Let’s just.. be careful. I don’t want anyone to get in trouble.”
"Then again, some people aren’t that great with remembering people very quickly, like myself. I have a… somewhat decent memory, but it takes me a little while to learn, at first. I do catch on quickly, once I wrap my head around it, though. However, people’s faces are sometimes hard to make out for me. Albeit, those would be faces of people I’ve only seen once, or people I haven’t seen in years.” Even if justification wasn’t in demand, Luhan was willing to offer at least some sort of reasoning behind people looking alike; it wasn’t always that case, though, obviously, since everything was simply subjective to different situations. For some reason, he felt the need to debate about something–anything. Such tense, plausibly sensitive topics weren’t something that were up for debating, though; the last thing he wanted to do was offend or upset Joy.
As Joy spoke on about the group’s debut, he listened attentively, nodding every few moments to assure her that he was listening. He did find the things she said to be interesting, and he happened to enjoy listening to her speak, despite this being their first personal encounter. “I really like that you’re fair about it. I think it’s important for a group’s debut to show off all the members’ talents, though, just as you do. Even afterward, really, but that ultimately isn’t our decision, as you know.”
At first, he frowned at her reaction, but a smile grew on his face when she accepted–even if it seemed as if she was hesitant to go, he’d take that over a plain no. “Great. We’ll have to be careful, though. No need to be starting anymore problems for the company, right?” He was honestly a little hesitant himself–there would definitely be cameras waiting to see the new girl group members, especially if they were with a member of the opposite sex, even in the same company. Dating scandal was written all over it, but he attempted to discard those thoughts.
